The title of the series, “Tipping Point”, refers to the concept in which small changes that have little or no effect on a system until a critical mass is achieved. When that pivotal event occurs, a large and often dramatic effect is observed.  The concept has been applied in a variety of fields in the social sciences as well as the physical sciences.

The paintings are realized through an intuitive process. In this latest body of work, I have worked in a reductive mode to create a distillation of internal landscapes that  are ambiguous in scale, form and perspective. The small scale of the paintings beckons the viewer to witness a private and intimate realm. This body of work ruminates on our vulnerability and mortality.”
